Yeah I’m like 6 months late, idk, blame Zelda, or life itself, idk. Better late than never I guess. This album is about a girl and her cat. Or maybe it’s the other way around? For a two-parter though there’s really not much story going on in this one it’s pretty much all setup for the next one so don’t expect an abrupt cliffhanger or anything like that. I actually wasn’t impressed at first but now I find myself constantly humming every other track throughout the day, they’re all pretty good.
On the production side Rena is once again absent from this album so I’m actually rather worried for her at this point, I really hope she’s just happy doing something else and they’re saying health issues only as a façade. The new vocalist Ruru is pretty good though, Luna and Risa Yuzuki are also really good as usual. By the way I had the chance to see their last live concert, the one they streamed, they really looked amazing on that, Yuzuki Risa looked very cute and Luna was perfection just as I expected. Doukoku no MiaLuca. Seems like it’ll be another two-parter. Rena will once again skip this one for health issues, instead they’ll have a brand new vocalist called Ruru on some of the new songs, along with Luna and the now seemingly permanent member Yuzuki Risa. One of the songs is called Andante Con Moto which honestly just sounds really funny if you know spanish. Anyway, I hope it’s great!
Yeah apparently overseas folks will actually be able to view the upcoming Ariabl’eyeS concert, for a price of course. However it is with much grief I have to inform you my favorite song of all time is unironically Gangnam Style, not only by it’s own virtue but also due to the myriad mashups involving it that I’ve heard in my lifetime. Something about it just activates my neurons like no other song possibly can.
It’s about time we dive into this 2022 album by Ariabl’eyeS: The Vampire Bride Act II. Once again even jp folks seem to have trouble telling what the hell is going on but at least the ending of the story is pretty clear and boy: it really is what I expected the least. New MV by el ma Riu, the name might sound familiar as it is a song from that album in which all the songs are named Ancient Call [Element], and this time it’s water. Truly, the superior rpg element, always and forever. Much like you’d expect, the water track is much more calm and mystical than the earth one, which went way harder on the ominous choruses.
